Carlos Pérez del Valle is a Professor of Criminal Law at the CEU San Pablo University (Madrid) since 2017. Previously he was Professor at the Abat Oliba University (Barcelona), Professor at the Judicial School of the General Council of the Judiciary (Barcelona), Professor at the Cardena University Herrrera CEU (Valencia-Elche) and Professor at the Rey Juan Carlos University in Madrid.

Work / academic experience: He has been a collaborating researcher for projects of the Max-Planck-Institut für ausländisches und internationales Strafrecht (Friborg d.B.) and Fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation at the Rechtsphilosophisches Seminar of the University of Bonn. Director of two AGIS-European Union knowledge transfer projects; He has coordinated the European Union-European Network for Judicial Training in Criminal Law (2008-2009); he has co-directed the Twinning Project European Union (Spain-Poland) on the creation of the Judicial School in Poland (2004-2005); and he has co-authored the European Judicial Training Guidelines of the EJTN (European Judicial Training Network).
He has been Rector of the Abat Oliba CEU University of Barcelona (2009-2017) and Lawyer of the Supreme Court (1991-2000) and is a member of the Military Juridical Body and Surveillance Magistrate. He is currently Dean of the Faculty of Law of the CEU San Pablo University (Madrid).
Awards and distinctions: Dr. Pérez del Valle is an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Huánuco (Peru). He has also taught seminars linked to the Spanish Agency for Cooperation in Bolivia, Colombia) and Antigua (Guatemala). He has been a visiting professor at several universities such as Navarra (Spain), Catholic of Buenos Aires (Argentina), Catholic of La Plata (Argentina), Pan American of Guadalajara (Mexico), Huánuco (Peru), Pádova (Italy), European of Rome (Italy), Bonn (Germany) and Catholic of Bogotá (Colombia).
